Lizzie Engel is used to running away. At eighteen, she left her Mennonite hometown, Kingdom, Kansas, with plans never to return.
But five years later, the new life she built is falling apart. Lizzie knows she's being followed, and she's certain the same mysterious stranger is behind the threatening letters she's received. { My Thoughts On This Book }
Inescapable is a fast paced story that touches on themes of judgement, forgiveness, consequence, and perception. Well written and engaging, it is a good story with compelling lessons that are delivered subtly, without being preachy. If you enjoy stories set in conservative Mennonite or Amish settings, you may enjoy this book.
